November 13, the Conference on the Evaluation and Exploration Technology of Geothermal Resources in Bohai Bay (2018) was held in our university. This conference was organized by the Geological Society of Hebei Province. President Wang Fengming attended the event and delivered a speech, directors from other related divisions also attended the conference. Mi Xiaoli, Secretary -General of the Geological Society of Hebei Province chaired the conference.

The Secretary-General Mi Xiaoli gave a brief introduction to the background of this conference, stated the chance and challenge of the evaluation and exploration technology of the geothermal resources in Bohai Bay. President Wang Fengming expressed sincere gratitude to trust of the Geological Society of Hebei Province as well as the support of the participants. Afterwards, he introduced the history and prospect of HGU, and the successful methods and experience on university running, scientific research, international cooperation and university-enterprise cooperation.

On the conference, experts made brilliant keynote speeches on geothermal resources.

Professor Shuo Liangxun, Dean of the School of Prospecting Technology and Engineering, made concluding remarks at the end of the conference, mainly expressed the idea of studying and solving the technical difficulties by promoting university-enterprise cooperation, receiving the approval of the experts attending the meeting.

This event has extended the research idea on such fields, strengthened our connection with related divisions and won high praise from the divisions and experts who attended the meeting.
