December 28, 2017, HGU held a signing ceremony of strategic cooperation with Institute of Geology, CAGS and the unveiling ceremony of HGU Education Development Foundation. The academician of CAS and Honorary President of HGU Li Tingdong, and the academician of CAS and distinguished alumni of HGU Hou Zengqian attended the ceremony.

Mr. Li Tingdong donated 1 million RMB to HGU Education Development Foundation. Mr. Hou Zengqian donated 300 thousand to Li Tingdong Technology and Innovation Foundation for Youth. It is learned that Li Tingdong Technology and Innovation Foundation for Youth will be specially used to award and support young students from HGU who have been achieving outstanding results in technological innovation. Each year, 10 individuals will be receiving supports and rewards offered by this foundation. Currently, the foundation has gained 3 million RMB donated by HGU as well as the alumni including Mr. Li Tingdong and Mr. Hou Zengqian.

There also held the unveiling ceremony of Li Tingdong Library. Mr Li Tingdong donated nearly 10,000 books and atlas to our university. Among them, there are a lot of foreign books that are out of print. Besides, Mr. Hou Zengqian also donated books to the library on behalf of the Institute of Geology, CAGS.
